Florida Reishi (Ganoderma sp.) – Liquid Culture Syringe

We have a sample going to a genetics testing lab to be sequenced because it doesn’t quite match G. curtisii or G. lobatum, the two species we suspected, so our nickname for this culture is ‘Gano X.’ Our test grow was really crazy looking, but we think that if one allows it to conk, it’ll fruit very well.

This strain native to South Florida, so keep it warm and damp. It grows well in very lightly supplemented sawdust. 0-5% is a good ratio of wheat/oat bran to sawdust.

Red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is the most studied species of Reishi on the planet. It is researched for its touted medicinal benefits, and other nutritional properties. This strain comes from the beautiful forests of Europe, and shines a bright red through the foliage. Reishi forms beautiful ‘bonsai-like’ antler and conk structures without much human intervention. This strain survives well in a variety of temperature and humidity ranges. It is one of the more beginner friendly species around. It grows well in very lightly supplemented sawdust. 5% is a good ratio of wheat/oat bran to sawdust.

Antler Reishi (Ganoderma multipileum) – Liquid Culture Syringe

Antler Reishi (Ganoderma multipileum) is a species of Reishi that originated in Asia. It has a history of medicinal use going back 4,000 years in China, where it is known as Lingzhi.

This culture is a favorite among commercial growers and beginners alike. It grows well in a sealed grow bag to maturity, making it a very low maintenance species. It will grow long antlers within a period of about 3 months with Master’s Mix (1:1 Soy Hulls & Oak Sawdust/hardwood fuel pellets), or lightly supplemented hardwood sawdust. It does well when inoculated by grain spawn. This species is extremely aggressive, and can even sometimes outcompete contamination.
