My cultures come in sterile syringes filled 10cc of premium live mycelium, sterile water, and a carefully chosen proprietary blend of nutrients specific to the species of fungi selected.
Latin name is Hericium erinaceus. They are known for their fluffy white fruiting bodies and spines. They grow well on supplemented oak, or other hardwoods. I grow them in either a large bag or lately I have been using jars. They like moderate indoor temperatures, and prefer high relative humidity.
This species is sometimes slower to start, but a strong colonizer.
